Lola (7 years) and Joey (12 years) (AKA Leela and Lion) were surrendered by their owner to the Castaic Shelter back in May; we rescued them and they are now in a foster home but they need to find their forever home. In their foster Mommys words: These two bonded pugs are the most affectionate, well-behaved, quiet and amusing pugs EVER. The little old man, Joey aka Lion, has an authoritative waddle and a penchant for picking up toys and carrying them around. He can spot a toy in a store window, get up on his hind legs and beg for it. (And yes, his foster mom does usually break down and buy one for him). He LOVES toys. His coat is as soft as velvet and he loves to sleep in. Youll have to really wake him up in the morning otherwise, hell want breakfast in bed. Lola aka Leela, will crawl out from under the covers in the morning, lie on your chest, stare into your eyes and will you to wake up. Shes got the lively energy of a much younger dog and is remarkably obedient. If you say stop, she stops. If you say, come this way, she comes this way. She is a licker! Shell give you licky kisses all the time especially when you get out of the shower. She is extremely affectionate. Both dogs love car rides! These two come to work with me every day, an hour commute each way, and they cant wait to jump in the front seat, squish next to each other and take a long snooze. They are in my office with me all day long surrounded by noise, people, other dogs, food, and toys and they stay at my feet snoring quietly. The biggest problem is that they want to follow me to the ladies room. Other than that, theyve been a joy to have at work. Whoever loved these dogs before they were surrendered trained them well and gave them a lot of love. Ive done my best to do the same and treat them as VIPs. They have no health issues except that Lion has lost his hearing. They are perfectly potty-trained. These dogs would be ideal for a family because they love activity and they love cuddling but they must be in close contact with their owners at all times. They are each others companions but they need to be around people all day and shouldnt be left alone for long. These pugs define the term fur babies because they are the most cuddly, adorable, lovable and fun little guys in town. Whoever gets this pair will have many joyful years ahead. Please come to our next adoption fair at the amazing pet store, Tailwaggers, which is located at 801 N. Fairfax Ave in West Hollywood. These babies will be there from noon - 3pm with some of their closest friends, all looking for forever homes. Hope to see you there!
