Lola McLachlan has devoted her life to rescuing pets from death row but after a personal bereavement, her Riverland shelter for dogs and cats slid into squalor. However, after she was charged with animal neglect, supporters rallied around and helped her restore Moorook Animal Shelter into a sanitary condition.
