Lone Survivor: 4/5. A powerful film. An american and universal film. A brauvura film. A tough film to watch. Beautifully acted film. The best film of Mark Wahlbergs career. Peter Berg a decent actor has proven over the years to be a good director. A film about four army soldiers sent into Afghanistan to take down a major Taliban terrorist and his number one man. Things go as plan until two young kids and old man spot them. They begin to argue whether to let them go and run to the top of the mountain and call for help or kill all three of them. When their leader played very well by canadian actor Taylor Kitsch and Mark Whalberg decides to let them go their other fellow soldiers think they made the a bad mistake. They were right. In less than hour they under siege in gun fire. More than fifty Taliban with heavy artillery are chasing after them and killing them one by one. In the end Mark whalberg ends getting caught and that is as far as i will go. Since this story based on a true story and everyone knows that only one survives hence Lone Survivor that i havent ruined it for anyone. What i can say is that it is a poweful film. My friend Gerald Wicks-Labobe would love this so much cause he loves everything about the military. Its violent. Well done. Intense. Some great realistic action scenes. And the performances from Whalberg, taylor Kitsch, eric bana, emile hirsch and ben foster are wonderful. All these actors should be proud of their work in this great war film about pain, regret and survival. I loved it.
