Long-Boiler Survivor: Robert Stephenson & Company long-boiler E.17 class 0-6-0 No.18, built 1865, is one of 23 constructed in Newcastle, England for mixed traffic service on the New South Wales Government Railways. The sole survivor No.18 was withdrawn from railway service in 1897 and sold to Corrimal Coal & Coke Company, and survived until 1963 in industrial service until preservation. It is seen here as a static exhibit at the New South Wales Rail Transport Museum, Thirlmere, New South Wales, Australia.
