Long Service Awards - Article by Pam Gebhard: The final assembly of 2014 saw St Alban’s saying farewell to several members of staff and honouring those whose long-service sets them apart as steadfast and loyal servants of the College. Michael Ngaka, Obed Phethle and Rob Lodge received Foundation Ties for 10 years of Service while Lennie Ramoshaba was awarded a cash bonus for 20 years of unbroken service. Undoubtedly, the long-service stars of the day were Patricia Libisi and Rob Campbell-Atkins both of whom started serving the College in 1985 and have clocked up 60 years of service between them! Ms Libisi was unable to attend due to ill-health, which has also led to her retirement from the College. She will receive her award at a later stage, but will always be remembered for her cheerful and happy presence in and around the staffroom. She has been an outstanding friend and colleague and will be missed. Mr Campbell-Atkins has performed many different roles within the College, including his current position as Deputy Headmaster, with his characteristic calm, good-nature and unflappability. The deep respect in which he is regarded was evident in the standing ovation he received from all staff and pupils. He is an esteemed and worthy servant of the College.
