Long day today. Called by the hospital before I was even out of bed and then walking the halls for several hours. The song "I would walk 500 miles" comes to mind. I would certainly walk that and a whole lot more if I thought it would help Jessica. She was resting quietly when I left at about 6:30 pm. The nurse was to call me if she became antsy again, and so no call should mean that she had a good evening. It is all about keeping her calm and comfortable now. There is really nothing else to do. It was so hard to hear her asking me to take her home, help her get up out of the wheel chair/bed - so that she could leave. Her organs are failing. Liver has failed and the kidneys are just about done too. Her heart is running strong... even though she has AF. Reiki friends - please help her pass quickly and painlessly. Her body has failed, and her soul strains to soar free. It is time for the Phoenix to be reborn!
