Long day today, went with my girls out and about. Went to Portage Place, and Im walking toward food court, there is a lady up ahead I can see from the distance in a wheelchair. As I got closer I can see she was slouched over. People just look at her and pass by her. Wtf, cant even stop and see if shes ok. So I walked over and tapped on her shoulder. She opened her eyes, so I asked her if she was OK. She responded with Im tired and Im hungry. Awe just broke my heart, she was a woman in what seemed to in her late fifties. And obviously a diabetic. I asked her if she would like something to eat, she gladly said yes. I took her to the food court. After I left , I just couldnt stop thinking of her, people with diabetes need to take great care, especially their diet. Feel so bad for those that go hungry, heartbreaking. Give, share, lend a hand, listen, hug, not hard at all. Dont have much, but gladly share what I have.
