Long drawn out story ahead....... Weve had a tough 5 days with Marksen. It started Wednesday night with some tummy troubles, we didnt think much of it because Marksen normally has tummy troubles. Thursday morning he threw up just a little bit, he seemed fine after that so we sent him to school a couple hours later because it was his last day of school. They called us from school about 15 minutes after he arrived to inform us that he had a fever and was lying on the floor falling asleep, we took him to the doctors where he had 102 fever. Ok he has a stomach virus. He was fine by the next day, fever was broken no signs of a stomach bug, until Thursday night he started to get hostile with us. By Friday morning it turned into a complete nightmare, he was scratching and hitting us and screaming just randomly through the day, we took him to the doctor so they had no answers for us just maybe some more miralax and some ointment for a slight diaper rash. By Friday night we were in the emergency room at our wits end all cut up and bruised and Marksen screaming. They really did nothing but sedate him, even though we told them we really believe that it was his stomach, they kept insisting that it was his autism making him do that, we were insisting that we know our child and were fairly certain its his stomach. They sent us home. We ended up back at the doctors. Sunday, they ran a urine test ( it was negative)they also believe that it was his autism causing these problems. This morning finally with me being fed up I called the GI specialists. They got us in for an appointment this afternoon, the nurse practitioner was absolutely amazing and was actually listening to us!they did a simple xray of his belly and lo and behold of course it was his stomach! Some doctors just do not listen to their patients. We are currently working on getting Marksen back to his old cheerful self. P.s. Somewhere in all this madness I managed to injure my pinky so severely that its in a splint. Keep on trucking
