Long overdue review! This review is of Turbocharger Systemss Billet XTR-CT26 stage 2 turbocharger. Ive personally had this turbocharger installed and on my MR2 since sometime in October 2014 and its performance has been absolutely phenomenal. Pros: Spool time is FASTER than the stock CT26 even with the larger wheel, it spools instantly. The billet compressor wheel and ceramic turbine wheel setup being much LARGER actually weighs LESS than the stock setup and shows when you give it gas. The sound this thing makes is purely awesome. It sounds so bad ass when it spools up and starts boosting. You really have to hear it for yourself in person. The instant power this thing produces over the stock turbo is MASSIVELY noticeable! The powerband is much more complete now as this is the first upgraded stock turbo that Ive ever had that pulls all the way to 7500RPMs and doesnt start falling off at 6000 RPMs like the stock turbo and another custom one I had years ago. The magic worked into this turbo is impressive as we once thought we were limited to 6000 RPMs in a CT26 housing or even CT20b housing no matter what was done. Excellent job guys! It just looks beautiful! Also, theres no core charge when you purchase the turbo! How great is that?! I had a few questions regarding the setup and the guys there have been more than helpful and very quick to respond whenever I contacted them. I wouldnt hesitate to do business with them at all, great guys, who know what they are doing when it comes to turbos, just check out some of the awesome builds on their Facebook page! Cons: I havent had time to get to the dyno to show the numbers and unfortunately most dynos in my area are closed for the winter so I have to wait a little longer. Not sure if this is exactly a con, but I know most of you want numbers and so do I, but when I get to one Ill be sure to post a video, graph and the numbers! If you have any questions or want a ride / to hear / see it in person, let me know and Ill be more than happy (no rides during the snow though :( ) Below is my current setup for those who are interested: Rebuilt 3S-GTE with about 3500miles on it Head: Ferrea 6000 Series Valves (not oversized) Brian Crower Titanium Valve Spring Retainers Brian Crower Valve Springs GSC 268 S1 Cams AEM Tru-Time Cam Gears Block: Custom Wiseco HD Pistons (cant remember exact size) High Compression 11.5:1 Lloyd Coonss connecting rods ACL Race Bearings ACL Thurst Washers All ARP hardware All new gaskets, water pump and oil pump.
