*Long post alert* Ive been asked many times in the last week what the numbered # nights are for, as this is Night#344 and the only place to be on a Thursday night is with Jim Ferrante and Alan Manzo at The Colts Neck inn for their Open Mic. These have been 344 consecutive nights of Live Local Music. Here is the background story.... Almost a year ago, I was hospitalized once again for something that was ailing me at the time, and I had over 7 doctors over a 12month period tell me that I shouldnt be alive. So 344 nights ago I decided to truly live and do exactly what I loved to do, enjoy live music, locally, by some people I call my closest friends and family. Amazing what a year would bring. I love my life. I love everyone in my life, and I TRULY enjoy every day I wake up on this side of the grass. I decided that I would find true joy & happiness, even in what some people consider the smallest thing(ie. a sunset, a beautiful flower, or even a traffic-less drive to work in the jeep with the top off) I started this journey just trying to enjoy life and in turn help some people closest to me promote what they love to do, which was bring music to all they could. Night #1 was with Courtney McManus & Mike McKernan at The Wine Loft in Long Branch. Ill never forget that night and the great friends I hung out with & met. I left for Nashville the very next day for a 5day amazing vacation. And this is where is all began. I will be doing exactly one year & one day (366) and bring this chapter of my life to a close. I cant believe what can and did happen in one years time. Ive never been happier or more thankful for the times Ive had, the places Ive seen and the friends Ive made and lost. Thank you to EVERYONE who made this year AMAZING!! Wishing EVERYONE... HOPE for a better tomorrow, PEACE of mind & soul, HAPPINESS in everything you do, and true LOVE to fill your heart!!
