Long post...this was also sent out by email: Good evening all!!! I wanted to take a few minutes and send out some reminders for tomorrow to help keep everyone organized. We will be distributing all of the ensemble roles costumes tomorrow. We asked that you be patient when we pass these out as we need to talk to each and everyone of you about your child and everything we are providing you and the pieces that you need to provide. We have spent several hours at the civic center this evening trying to get everything organized so we can make tomorrow go as smooth as possible. Our intention is to be able to talk to each parent and show and example of what the costume is suppose to look like on your child and explain each piece. The costumes will be handed out on the South side of the civic center lobby (down by the concessions) We will have sheets for you to sign so we know that you have received all pieces to your costumes. Once you are comfortable with the costumes, for those of you in Duloc, and the two fionas in the wedding scene, you need to go to the wig station set up by the front door. Andrea Elliott will be there to give you your Duloc wig and get it fitted to your head. THIS IS VERY IMORTANT... We cant stress enough how crucial it is that you LABEL, with a permanent marker, your childs name in EACH piece of costume they have. This includes, shoes, tights, gloves, EVERYTHING.. This will save so many headaches if something gets misplaced. We do have a couple of fantastic volunteers who will be there with their sewing machines to help with some of the alterations that you might need. The two things we do know that you could possible need help with are: 1. - Duloc skirts - some of them might be a tad long. We encourage you to have your child try them on to see if they are ok. If they arent we can hem them up super quick. 2. - Jr. Rat tails. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE TAIL SEWN ONTO YOUR CHILDS SWEAT PANTS, Please bring them tomorrow. You will be getting the tail and our folks can sew them on for you. This would be the best way to attach the tails. You can also safety pin them if you choose, but they do look more polished sewn on. For the Duloc costumes, just about every piece of this was ordered based on the t-shirt size you gave during registration and by measurements taken during rehearsals. We have done our best to get as close to your childs size as possible. This is a very very cute costume that takes some major coordination, so please do not be trading sizes with others on your own. They have the colors in their sacks for a reason. If the size is just not workable, please contact one of us at the costume table. We do NOT have any extra pieces to costumes so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure all pieces are secure and labeled. Again, we ask that you be patient with us tomorrow as we want each of you to be able to understand the pieces to your childs costume and how everything fits together. We want everyone to feel comfortable and ready for dress rehearsal. SHOWTIME IS ALMOST HERE!! Its going to be fabulous!!! Thanks All!!!
