Long term hopeful recipe for big swell ; Both images are at an iffy? 180 hrs away point.But I tend to look toward the brightside and hope it comes true.First ingredient; is the jet, 180 kt. winds with a glitch of 190 in the middle,aiming down toward Hawaii with a u-turn so the weather might not hit us.As I recall, I havent seen jetstreams like this since 2009/10 season.Second ingredient, a large gale forming over Kamchatka with very low pressure down to 984 mbs.Third ingredient; A Typhoon over Japan area with a pressure of 984 mbs also,moving northward.From what Ive observed this year,most of the hurricanes,typhoons and gales never really got lower than 996 mbs,just like the gale thats causing our swell on Tuesday .With the gale forming right smack under the fierce jetstream and at the same time, the moisture from the Typhoon starts feeding the already large gale storm,imagine the swell we could get from this.
