Long trips are great to think, and during my flight to Brazil yesterday I thought a lot about traditions, one of the most precious gifts we receive during our life. This thought is very related to a recent musical experience, recorded last week. Think about a Brazilian composer, trained in classical and jazz traditions, meeting a percussion virtuoso from Bulgaria (Svet Stoyanov), and a selected ensemble of classical and jazz trained musicians from the University of Miami Frost School of Music, including a Russian pianist (Asiya Korepanova), a Polish percussionist (Maria Anna Chlebus) and Americans from various parts of the country (Cassandra Eisenreich, Arianne Urban, Victor Colmenares, Amanda Diaz, Chris Young, Geoffrey Saunders, Murph Aucamp).
