Long winded post and genuine question. An old friend of mine sent me this. It ties in with everything else Ive been hearing from everywhere else EXCEPT the mainstream media - including the BBC. I am (sadly) used to our Western media siding with all kinds of bastards, because by their very nature they reflect the economic and social interest of the rich and powerful in our society. But can anyone out there explain what they and their governments gain by siding with actual proper fascists - and either ignoring or denying thats what they are? This is a genuine question. I am puzzled. Reliable accounts suggest that anti-semitic neo-fascist thugs are roaming the streets of Western Ukraine - and yet our media either paint the population of Eastern Ukraine as unreasonable for hating this and wanting to be part of Russia, or suggest that they are not actually doing so and that the whole thing is being stirred up by the Kremlin. Hi there, just wanted to let you know a little alternative news from Ukraine, where my friends mum lives and until recently was a pensioner. However, the so-called government of Ukraine has stopped all pensions, there are no more trains or buses running, the cost of her medications has soared (they were already very expensive) and she is fearful of nationalist thugs. This is not made up or any exaggeration. It has also become unwise to be heard speaking any foreign language. Is it any wonder the people are desperate to become a part of Russia? As you know I am no innocent but even I have been shocked at the BBC reporting in the past few days, where absolutely no mention has been made of any of this.
