Look at me! A failure indeed am i. where men have always succeeded, I have always failed. Even in my Academics, little things I should have known have made D’s and E’s my favorite. What lies ahead of me if not a bleak future. How do I face my parents, my siblings, and all who looked up to me. indeed I am a failure. This and probably worse situations might be what is going on through your mind right now but I beg you not to conclude on yourself. There are two aspects that have been noted to be the reason why these statements are common to individuals; 1.FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN; the law of fear-rebound states that: what you fear most will always manifest itself and get connected to you just as magnet is attracted to iron. You fear for your success, you fear for your failure, you fear for your future, you fear for your reputation and many other fears have been harbored in your hearts. E.W Kenyon says : what you fear will definitely catch up with you in reality 2.FEAR OF THE PAST FAILURE; a great inventor once said that once you’ve failed, analyze the problem and find out why because each failure is one more step leading to your cathedral of success. You don’t use your past failure to limit today’s success. Using Simon Peter in Luke 5:3-6 as our practical exams, we will note that Simon failed all night and by the next morning was already washing his net ready to face his fate as a failure. However, when Christ told him to do that same thing which he did through out the night but in a different way, the result was net breaking. Fear is a trap that has chained multitudes and has prevented many from getting to their God designated place for them. Remember that God has not given us the spirit of fear but a Spirit of sound mind. Whatever it is that has made you scared is not worth it. If only you can make God your fear, as Prophet Isaiah said in Isaiah 8:13, then you will see that you do not need to fear anything.
