Look at the promotional item given to fans for attending the recent Yankee Game. It makes me want a 1995 Braves World Series replica fan ring badly! On a good note, Brian McCann made the game winning hit that brought in the walk off run! All of Bronx is Jeter! Jeets is on everyones mind; like Chipper was. Yesterday was a full day. NYC Restaurant Week began and I had gotten a reservation at my top favorite, Morimotos, for lunch. It was really nice and this time they seated me at the Sushi Bar. Normal seating at night in that location begin at $130 and upward. It was entertaining to watch the Chefs prepare. Each one was serious, astute, and focused. Every detail was of the utmost importance. The dessert was a surprise: Strawberry Shortcake in a mini goldfish bowl. The almond spongecake was perfectly divine and the black sesame seed ice cream was adventurous and refined. While traversing the next block, I noticed them filming Elementary. Just as I was crossing the street, a guy yelled Quiet. Rolling. Were Rolling! When I got on the High Line, I looked down at the same filming site, but didnt see any of the stars. The High Line is a mile long NYC Park, built modern and lush on an overhead unused railway. It is very beautiful and nicely maintained. Next I window-shopped along Madison Avenue and made it to SummerStage in Central Park for the huge Pete Seeger Tribute Concert. Top names made appearances and many performed. It ended a five day, multi-venue Celebration of his work, life, legacy, and wife Toshi.
