Look back at our history and youll see that the majority, if not - TopicsExpress

Look back at our history and youll see that the majority, if not all black rights activists have been arrested or have risked their freedom/lives in one way or another. Most of us, especially in the 60s held the notion that we would much rather be imprisoned and/or physically hurt, than to live in a country full of injustice. One of the reasons that these incidences continue to happen is because so many of us would much rather post about it, talk about it briefly, move on and do nothing. Were scared to join together to make a change. Scared to take the risk of standing up against our police departments and government at large, for fear that our lives and level of comfortability will be compromised. We would much rather hear about a brother being gunned down, see a brother be murdered on video, and retweet or repost the situation, than to stand on the line, because after all its their lives, not ours. So Im tired of seeing your posts. Im ready for ideas. Im ready to see you get out of your comfortable box and risk something. I;m ready for all of us to realize that the more this goes on, the more we continue to spread it on social media and do absolutely nothing, the cycle continues because they know that we think that we are powerless. And well, as long as we think that we are powerless, we are. So if you have ideas, Im ready to talk, ready to build something and risk everything. But if not Ill kindly scroll pass your post of self pity and smh.
