(Look below for the English write-up!) கடந்த 2 நாட்களில் என்னை மிகவும் நிம்மதியற்ற, அமைதியற்ற நிலையில் ஆழ்த்தியுள்ளது #Madras_Cafe (#மெட்ராஸ்_கபே) படம் தொடர்பான செய்திகள்... இலங்கையில் பல ஆண்டுகளாக நடந்து வரும் இனப்போர் பற்றியும், சிங்கள ராணுவம் – விடுதலைப் புலிகள் பற்றியும் பேசும் இத்திரைப்படம் வெளிவருவதற்கு முன்பே, தமிழர்களிடையே எக்கச்சக்க எதிர்ப்பு இருந்து வந்தாலும், அதையெல்லாம் நான் பெரிதாக கண்டுகொள்ளவில்லை; எல்லா படத்திற்கும் செய்வது போல சில அரசியல் கட்சிகள் விளம்பரத்திற்காக செய்கிறார்கள் என்றே எண்ணினேன். ஆனால் இப்பொழுது படம் வெளிவந்துள்ள நிலையில் (இன்னும் தமிழகத்தில் வெளியாகவில்லை), படத்தை பார்த்த எனது பத்திரிக்கை நண்பர்களும் மற்ற மாநில நண்பர்களும் படம் நிஜத்திற்கு மிக மாறாக இருப்பதாகவும், மிகவும் ஒரு தலை பட்சமாக இருப்பதாகவும் வருந்துவது கண்டு பொறுக்க முடியவில்லை. ஒரு படத்தைப் பார்க்காமல் எந்தவொரு கருத்தும் சொல்லக்கூடாது என்று நம்புபவன் நான்; ஆனால், நம்பத்தகுந்த வட்டாரங்களில் இருந்து இப்படம் தொடர்பாக தொடர்ந்து வரும் செய்திகள் மிகவும் கலங்க வைக்கின்றன! 30 ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக நடந்த போராட்டத்தைப் பற்றிய சரியான புரிந்துணர்வும் இல்லாமல், சிங்கள ராணுவம் எண்ணிலடங்கா தமிழ் மக்களின் வாழ்வையும், உயிரையும் சூறையாடியது பற்றி ஒரு காட்சி கூட இல்லாமல் மிக மோசமான, நேர்மையற்ற சினிமாவாக வெளிவந்துள்ளது இந்த ‘Madras Cafe’. (இந்த தலைப்பு கூட, தென்னிந்திய மக்களைத் தியேட்டருக்கு இழுத்து வரும் முயற்சி தான்!) இலங்கையில் நடந்தேறியது, உலகத்தின் மிக மோசமான இனப்படுகொலைகளில் ஒன்று; லட்சக்கணக்கான நம் தமிழ் இரத்தங்கள் கடந்த 30, 40 ஆண்டுகளாக கொல்லப்பட்டபோது உலகமே கண்டனம் தெரிவித்தது, இந்தியாவைத் தவிர! இங்கே நாம் அதைப் பற்றியெல்லாம் சத்தம் போட்டு, உண்மைகளைப் பற்றி பேசவோ, எழுதவோ, படம் எடுக்கவோ கூட முடியாது. மணிரத்னம், பாரதிராஜா, அமீர், பாலா, சேரன், கரு. பழனியப்பன், சசிக்குமார், சீமான் உட்பட எத்தனையோ தமிழ் இயக்குனர்கள் இலங்கைப் பிரச்சினையைப் பற்றி முகத்தில் அறையும்படியான ஒரு படம் எடுப்பதை பல ஆண்டு கனவாக கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர்; ஆனால், எப்பொழுதும் அது கனவாகவேதான் இருக்கும். ஏனெனில், அப்படி படமெடுத்தால் புலிகளுக்கு ஆதரவாக பேசுவதாக அவர்கள் சிறையில் அடைக்கப்படுவார்கள் (ஏற்கனவே அடைக்கப்பட்டும் இருக்கிறார்கள்). இதுவே ‘Madras Cafe’ போல நடப்பு ஆட்சியை திருப்திபடுத்தும் விதமாக படம் எடுத்தால், ஆதரவு எங்கேங்கிருந்தோ வரும். ஆனால், அப்படியொரு காரியத்தை எந்த தமிழனும் செய்யமாட்டான். சில ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னால் கூட, ‘நான் சாவதற்குள் தமிழீழம் பற்றி ஒரு படமாவது எடுப்பேன்!’ என்று உறுதியாகக் கூறியுள்ளார் ‘கற்றது தமிழ்’ ராம். இத்தனைக்கும் இலங்கைப் பிரச்சினைப் பற்றி உண்மையான, தைரியமான பல படைப்புகள் வெளிவந்திருக்கின்றன; ஆனால், அவை எல்லாமுமே இந்தியாவில் தடை செய்யப்பட்டவை! இந்த ‘Madras Cafe’ விவகாரத்தில் மிகவும் வருத்தமளிக்கக்கூடிய இன்னொரு விஷயம்... மற்ற மாநிங்களில் இருக்கும் சில தமிழர்கள் இந்தப் படத்தை “மிகச் சிறந்த த்ரில்லர், நல்ல படம்” என்றெல்லாம் சொல்வதுதான்! (அவர்களுக்கு தமிழீழம் வரலாறு குறித்த அறிவு இல்லாமல் போக வாய்ப்பிருக்கிறது). இத்தனை ஆண்டு காலமாக அங்கே நடந்த கொடுமைகளை எல்லாம் நாம் வேடிக்கை பார்த்ததையும், எந்த விதத்திலும் உதவாத நமது கையாலாகாதத்தனத்தையும் கூட இறந்த நம் சகோதர, சகோதரிகளின் ஆன்மாக்கள் மன்னித்துவிடலாம்; ஆனால், இப்படியொரு வரலாறே தவறாக பதிவு செய்யப்படும்போதும் கூட “விடு, படம் தானே?” என்று கண்டும் காணாதது போல் நாம் அமைதி காப்பது ‘பொட்டை’த்தனம் அல்லவா? காங்கிரஸ் அரசைப் பொறுத்தவரை, எல்லா வகையிலும் இது அவர்களுக்கு சாதகமான ஒரு படம். இந்த படத்தைத் தயாரித்து நடித்திருக்கும் ஜான் ஆப்ரகாமிற்கும், இயக்குனருக்கும், விநியோகிக்கும் கார்ப்பரேட் கம்பனிக்கும் எப்படிப் பார்த்தாலும், இது வெற்றியையும் நல்ல வசூலையும் தரக்கூடிய (பத்தோடு பதினொன்றாக) இன்னுமொரு உணர்ச்சிமிக்க கதை. ஆனால், நமக்கோ இது ‘வரலாறு’....! புத்தகங்களும், திரைப்படங்களுமே அடுத்த தலைமுறைக்கு நம் வரலாறு சொல்லும் என்றிருக்கையில், இன்னும் 50, 100 ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு இவையே போற்றப்படும் அபாயமும் உள்ளது!! “விஸ்வரூபம்”, “தலைவா” மீதான தடையை நீக்கக்கோரி வாரக்கணக்கில் போராடும் நம் மக்கள், தற்கொலை வரை செல்லும் தமிழ் ரசிகர்கள், இப்படிப்பட்ட ஒரு படத்திற்கு ஒரு ஒட்டு மொத்த எதிர்ப்பாவது தெரிவிப்பார்களா?? 25 வயதேயான சாதராண இளைஞனான என்னால் கூட்டம் போட முடியாது, போராட்டம் நடத்தமுடியாது, பணத்தை வாரி இறைத்து அந்த படத்தயாரிப்பு நிறுவனத்தின் மேல் வழக்குத் தொடர முடியாது; என் கோபத்தையும் வருத்தத்தையும் எழுத்தில் காட்ட முடியும், அவ்வளவுதான். என் கருத்தில் ஒத்துப்போகும் ஒவ்வொரு தமிழ் அன்பர்களும் தயவு செய்து இந்த பதிவை ‘SHARE’ செய்ய வேண்டி பணிவோடுக் கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறேன். ஜெய் ஹிந்த்! - எழுதியவர்: கலிலூர் ரஹ்மான் (fb/rahman.machinist) __________________________________________________________ In the past 2 days, am really much worried and disturbed completely hearing the news about the Hindi film #Madras_Cafe starring #John_Abraham. This film which speaks on the Sri Lankan issue and about the Sri Lankan Army – LTTE attacks has already received a number of oppositions from Tamil people. I ignored them all initially thinking that it might be yet another cheap trick by some politicians who looks for publicity, which happens here often. But now after the release of the film (the film has not released in Tamilnadu alone), hearing from my media friends in TN and friends out of Chennai who are worried that the film carries much of interpreted truth, incidents and that the film is completely one-sided. I never comment or write about a movie before watching it, but hearing continuously about the movie from credible sources made me post this small article. The film is a dishonest, unconvincing attempt with no proper understanding on the 30+ year’s struggle and pain of the Tamil people and there is not even a single dialogue or scene about the Sri Lankan army’s ravage on Tamil people lives! (Even the title ‘Madras Café’ is a strategy to take the film easily to south Indian audience.) One of the biggest genocides happened ever in world history (i.e., in Sri Lanka) was condemned everywhere out of India, but not in India. Lakhs of our Tamil people were killed in the past 30 to 40 years; but we cannot speak about it boldly, write about it or even make a film about it in India. Number of Tamil film directors including #Maniratnam, #BharathiRaja, #Ameer, #Bala, #Cheran, #Karu_Palaniappan, #SasiKumar, #Seeman have ideas of making a film on #Thamizh_Eezham issue with truths that will slap on our face. But they can never make it in the near future; because if they make such a bold film, they will be in jail being accused of supporting LTTE (That has already happened too). If it is a film like ‘Madras Café’ which supports the current ruling party, the film will get support from everywhere and will be celebrated!! But any Tamizhan will not do anything so cheaply. Even before few years, ‘Katrathu Tamizh’ Director Ram said firmly that “I will make at-least a single film on #Thamizh__Eezham before I die”. There have been a number of films made open and boldly on Sri Lankan issue, brutal killings both in and out of India in so many languages, but all those films are banned for release in INDIA!! The most worrying thing in this ‘Madras Café’ issue is that some Tamil people out of TN are sharing good words about this film, just because it is a good thriller / a good entertainer (May be, they might not have good knowledge on #Eezham_Issue). We people were just watching everything calmly that happened in Sri Lanka all these years and we could not help our brothers and sisters over there in any means, which even their souls might forgive. But if we stay calm still seeing such big false history registered in the celluloid, saying that ‘It is just a film’ without minding it at all, shouldn’t we spit on ourselves?? For Congre.ss, this is a film that is completely favourable for them. For #JohnAbraham who acted and produced the film, for the Director and for the Corporate company that distributes this film, this is just another sensitive script that could be a sure HIT. But for us all, this is #HISTORY! For the next generation, we are just going to leave books and movies which will tell them our history. How good and fair it is to give films like ‘Madras Cafe’ as HISTORY for people living after 50, 100 years. Our people who shut aloud and fight continuously to remove the ban on #Vishwaroopam and #Thalaivaa, Tamil fans who even attempt suicides, will they stand together against a film like this?? Being just a 25 years old ordinary youngster, I cannot arrange a meeting in the Marina beach or file a case against this film; I can just express my anger and worry in my words strongly. There a number of people fighting outside to stop this film. I kindly request all Tamizh people to ‘SHARE’ this article with everyone and make awareness.
