Look out for the new powerful guys in the country; our governors. These new presidents are involved in power showbiz. Dr Alfred Mutua, the Machakos governor for instance, caused a stir recently in Kitui town when he arrived at a funeral in Kitui town with an elaborate security detail, a convoy complete with several high-end limousines and siren-blaring police cars. His advance party included private chef, VIP seats, red carpets, public address system and even mobile toilet! Other counties are not very different. Is this how it should be?
