“Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always” (1 - TopicsExpress

“Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always” (1 Chronicles 16:11). “For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.” (1 Corinthians 1:25). To many individuals today (even some believers of Jesus Christ) believe that by their own self-determination, self-will, and self- effort, and self-motivation is all they need to be successful in most if not all aspects of their lives. Many individuals trust in these capabilities exclusively and are quite successful but yet feel hollow, thus this hollowness leaves them to search for something their whole lives to feel this void of incompleteness not knowing that all they had to try was Jesus! God wants for us not to second guess HIS capabilities but to trust and rely on him exclusively. The Bible says, in Proverbs 3: 5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” No self-determination, self-will, and self-effort is needed when serving God for his grace is sufficient enough to sustain anyone who seeks Him wholeheartedly. Trusting in your own self works, self-effort and all other works of the flesh is a futile effort for getting through life or when serving God and, self-effort transpires to no effort at all when serving the Lord.
