Look-up false equivalency keep your argument honest then you may be considered a TRUE partner in progress. Other than that, you are just a slick-ass racist to me buddy, mark my words. E Pluribus Unum. Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani claimed that attention focused on disproportionately white police forces in minority-heavy communities obscured the problem of black-on-black violence, which got a rise out of professor and MSNBC contributor Michael Eric Dyson, who argued Giuliani was engaged in a massive false equivalency. “First of all, most black people who commit crimes against other black people go to jail,” Dyson said. “Number two, they are not sworn by the police department as agents of the state to uphold the law….White people who kill black people do not go to jail.” At that point Giuliani took off his glasses, which apparently is his sign that it’s time to rumble. “[Black on black crime] is the reason for the heavy police presence in the black community,” Giuliani claimed. “Why don’t you cut it down so many white police officers don’t have to be in black areas?… The white police officers wouldn’t be there if you weren’t killing each other.” “This is the defensive mechanism of white supremacy in your mind,” Dyson said.
