This is the time when the first birds are making their way back north to their summer ranges in the U.S. In their honor, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology is sponsoring its annual March Migration Madness tournament featuring 16 North American migratory species — everything from tiny hummingbirds to geese and raptors.
