Look what I found... Instructions from Steve Brown. Heads up Scott Griggs and Philip T. Kingston! Colonel, This is a reminder that CAF members in North Texas will be called up on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014 at 9 a.m., for the Dallas City Council meeting. The uniform of the day will be our navy blue CAF button-down shirt and khaki pants. When the Dallas City Council votes on a grant to help construct the CAF National Airbase at Dallas Executive Airport, we want them to understand the deep support our CAF members in the community have for the project. Please don’t fail to report for duty when this historic vote is made. All of us are needed for this important campaign. As I mentioned in my previous email, the Dallas City Council is deciding on a critical grant to help construct the CAF National Airbase at Dallas Executive Airport. This grant will provide tremendous support for the next chapter in the CAF’s history. I encourage you to ask your neighbors, friends and family to support this critical mission. But most of all, please attend in proper uniform with your fellow CAF members. We need you! Sincerely, Stephan C. Brown, CAF President For those who can go a step further, sending a city council member an email with a quick note regarding your support for the CAF can help tremendously. Here are some bulleted guidelines for the email: · Describe yourself as a Dallas resident, and other relevant facts like where you work, how long you have lived in Dallas. · Explain your personal connection to CAF – why you are a member, why you volunteer · Include a statement that clearly conveys your personal support for the CAF, and its relocation to Dallas Executive Airport · In your own words try to describe the benefits CAF will bring to the City, this might include references to CAF’s plan to construct a world-class museum, the organization’s mission to honor our military aviation heritage, and our positive influence on young people and future generations.
