Look who is re-developing Redwood Citys little house on Wilson Street. I have nothing against Texas. But I have heard that they used to have plenty of land of their own. The question I do have is: Doesnt the San Francisco Bay Area have any LOCAL building contractors any longer?? Why is a Texas builder/developer getting this job?? LEADERSHIP Bob Faith Founder, Chairman and CEO As Founder, Chairman and CEO of Greystar, Bob leads our Investment Committee, Operating Committee, and Advisory Board. Bob is responsible for the strategic planning and growth of the company and absolutely essential to this is his consistent focus on Greystars Six Pillars of Excellence. Bob focuses on helping our business leaders and managers utilize these pillars to reach new goals in profitability and customer service. After receiving a BS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from Harvard Business School, Bob began his real estate career with the Trammell Crow Company and served as a partner in their Charlotte, NC office. In 1991, he co-founded Starwood Capital Partners, L.P., a private investment company. After leaving Starwood, Bob founded Greystar Real Estate Partners in 1993 in Houston, TX. From February 1996 to December 1997 he founded and served as CEO of Homegate Hospitality, Inc. Bob also served from December 2002 until February 2006 as the Secretary of Commerce for the State of South Carolina. Bob believes that our commitment to an evergreen business strategy allows us to keep our team together and provide attractive careers, letting us recruit and retain the best people. Bill is responsible for the Greystar regional operating businesses and the headquarters service operation. He works with each of the business leaders to develop Greystars full-service capabilities, implement solid operating standards and develop the growth strategy for the operating component of Greystars business. Prior to joining Greystar in 1999, Bill was with Trammell Crow Company where he held numerous positions. In 1996, he joined the Executive Committee of Trammell Crow and was named Chief Operating Officer for the eastern half of the United States, which encompassed full-service operations in 15 cities. After attending the University of Oklahoma, Bill began his career with Trammell Crow as a leasing agent in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Bill and his family reside in Charleston, SC. “If we have the right caliber of people – and we do; the right business plan – and we do; and the right amount of capital partners – and we do; then were going to win.” Derek Ramsey Executive Managing Director Derek serves as Executive Managing Director for the parent company and serves as a member of Greystars Investment Committee, Advisory Board and Operating Committee. He has management oversight and responsibility for all financial functions and capital resources of the Company including corporate finance, project finance, corporate accounting, reporting and risk management, as well as Greystars Information Technology business unit. Prior to joining Greystar in 1997, Derek was an analyst with Bear, Stearns & Co., Inc., in the corporate finance/ investment banking division where he played an integral role in over $500 million of equity, debt and M&A transactions. Derek is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas with a BBA in finance. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and resides with his family in Charleston, SC. “I was immediately intrigued by Greystars unique business model, the entrepreneurial nature of the company, and the honesty and integrity of the founder.” Andrew Livingstone Executive Managing Director As Executive Managing Director, Andrew Livingstone is responsible for leading Greystars Real Estate Services business group, which includes overseeing the operation of the Companys owned and managed portfolios in the U.S. and abroad. In addition to being responsible for Real Estate Operations, Andrew oversees many of the functional groups that support Greystars operating business units, including Financial Services, Talent Management, Information Technology, Marketing, Procurement, and Administrative Services. As a member of the Companys Executive Committee, Andrew has played a prominent role in establishing Greystars long-term strategic direction, and in helping to position the Company as a premier real estate services firm and a leader in the multi-family housing industry. In 2007, Andrew was promoted to the Executive Committee and led the reorganization of Greystars management division and support services. This was a multi-year process that helped position these divisions to support the tremendous growth experienced by the Company as it became the largest operator of apartment communities in the United States. Throughout this period, Andrew played key roles in the Companys growth, leading the integration efforts following Greystars acquisition of the JPI Property Management Company in 2009, and the Archon and Glacier portfolios in 2010. Most recently, Andrew has overseen the establishment of Greystars operations in both the U.K. and Mexico to support the Companys growing international portfolio. Before becoming Executive Managing Director, Andrew held several other leadership positions within Greystar, including Executive Director and Southeast Regional Partner. Andrew is a graduate of the University of South Florida, where he earned a degree in Accounting. In addition to being a licensed Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, he is a Certified Apartment Manager, and holds a Florida Real Estate license. He is a frequent speaker at industry-related events and meetings. Andrew and his family reside in Tampa, Florida. Scott Wise Executive Managing Director Scott is the Executive Managing Director for Greystar Development Group. In this position, he is responsible for the development and construction of all Greystar sponsored projects including site selection, underwriting, due diligence, product design, financing, quality control, construction supervision, asset management, dispositions and strategic planning. Prior to joining Greystar, Scott was a Senior Managing Director for Trammell Crow Residential Gulf Coast Division. Before that, he was a Vice President of Summit Commercial Properties, a subsidiary of Los Angeles based Highridge Partners. He received a BBA degree in Finance from Texas A&M University and is a Licensed Broker of the Texas Real Estate Commission. Scott has served on the Board of the Houston Apartment Association and as a Board Alternate to the Texas Apartment Association. Scott and his family reside in Houston, TX. “The foundation of our culture is built on trust and I will always endeavor to earn the trust of my team members and capital partners.” Wes Fuller Executive Managing Director Wes Fuller is the Executive Managing Director of Investments. He is responsible for the Investment Management business of the company which focuses on the investment in rental apartments in the U.S., Europe and Latin America through a series of investment vehicles with institutional clients. Wes is responsible for fund management, investment strategy, capital relationships and acquisition and disposition activities. In addition, he is responsible for the strategic direction of the investment team and owned assets. Wes is also a member of Greystars Executive Committee, the governing body of the company. Wes received his MBA in Real Estate Finance from the University of North Carolinas Kenan-Flagler Business School. He also holds a degree in Biology from Furman University in Greenville, SC. Wes is a member of PREA, NMHC, AFIRE, ULIs Multifamily Blue Council and ULIs SC Coastal Executive Committee. He is also a board member of Operation Home and Wings For Kids, both Charleston, SC-based non-profit organizations. Stacy Hunt Executive Director Stacy is an Executive Director and is responsible for national client relations and new business pursuits for Greystars Management Company. He is a leader of the Management Company Executive Committee and serves on the Operating Committee for Greystar Real Estate Partners. Stacy helped build the firms management portfolio through the opening of regional offices in Arizona, Florida and additional offices in Texas. Prior to joining Greystars predecessor Greystone in 1982, he served as First Vice President of United Savings Association of Texas. He received a BA in Finance from the University of Texas. During his tenure with Greystar, Stacy has served our industry in numerous leadership capabilities - President of the Houston Apartment Association, President of the Texas Apartment Association, and as a member of the Board of Directors for the National Multifamily Housing Council.
