Looked at a Sinbad SS this morning. Owner has electrical background. No professional repairs. Never been serviced because owner said it wasnt necessary because he has an electrical background. Sound didnt work and I said might be a board issue since he bought an untested original replacement off Ebay. He said its a fuse because he has an electrical background. I told him he did have planking issues, whitewood and wear issues, broken plastics and typical issues for the age and that they should be addressed soon. Oh no, they dont need that. Again, I was told electrical background. Must have heard it 12 times. Finally, I asked when was the last time the ball was replaced. He said it never was but it comes with a spare. I said, what? He says, a spare. I said, where? He shows me the fore and aft tilt ball in the rail on the left. I said, No. Thats not a spare. He says, well sure it is. Before he could say because he had an electrical background again I explained to him what that mechanism was. He said, are you sure? I said, absolutely. I have a pinball background. Yeah, he wanted $700 and not a penny less, too.
