Looking after the disabled ** The cabinet approved today an executive order requiring private companies and the public sector to hire a minimum of 3% disabled workers. ** When I signed the executive order I promised it would not only apply to the private sector, but we would work towards requiring the civil service to comply as well. Today the Prime Minister and Finance Minister decided to apply the executive order also to the public sector. Originally we were told that it would be a problem. Despite the legal problems, we insisted, and today it was realized. ** This is how you take care of the weaker sectors in your society, by reducing the gaps in society and creating equal opportunity for people with disabilities. We expand the workforce by bringing in dedicated workers and help them make a decent living. ** This is not charity. It is the right thing to do, and we will continue to take action.
