Looking ahead for this week for dog walkers -- we should know sometime Monday about the situation with the tower and when we can get back outside with the dogs again. The shelter will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday this week on Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun (Nov 28 - Dec 1). I just looked at the sign up genius and we have 4 walkers scheduled for Wednesday morning and two for the afternoon. If you can help on Wednesday afternoon, either by dog walking or clicking other, the dogs will be forever indebted to you!! Extra help on Wed afternoon will allow them to get out multiple times before the long weekend. Extra help will also be needed again on Monday Dec 2, esp the morning shift. The dogs will be frantic by then. If you are available, please sign up. If the walking slots are full, please use the other category. These 4 day weekends are really hard on the animals and coming off of this 10 day shut down on walking due to the tower, the situation is much worse than it would normally be.
