Looking at the events in Ferguson, MO. Yes the police have a tough job and they face danger at every stop, but that does not justify the abuses that are being seen more and more frequently every day. If you are in charge of this fiasco - you should have your ass fired. If you are driving an armored assault vehicle toward an crowd of protesters - you need your ass fired. If you are pointing sniper rifles and shotguns at people who are exercising their right to assemble and free speech - you need to have your ass fired. If you are arresting reporters for doing their jobs, roughing them up, and such activity - you need your ass fired. If you shoot rubber bullets and tear gas canisters at what obviously a news team reporting on the situation, arrest them, then take down their equipment - you need your ass fired. If you are using force against a person but do not wear your badge or name tag, and refuse to identify yourself - you need your ass fired. Everyone involved needs their ass fired no matter how tough of a job the police have, they are not above the law. They are not conquering armies occupying a city - they are supposed to be serving the community. They all need their asses fired. Going on a Fox News commentators show, hosted by a slimy lying piece of filth like Sean Hannity, to justify your actions does not inspire confidence that you are a reasonable person able to make reasonable decisions. You should have your ass fired. The police officers who acted in these manners need to have their asses sued to within an inch of their life to pay for their civil rights abuses. Just following orders doesnt cut it. It is time the citizens are put ahead of a gung-ho militarized police state.
