Looking at the so many nice eulogies being poured towards the late prof bingu wamutharika it makes me realise how myopic most malawians are. When he died so many people celebrated his death. Now two years down the road we mourn, yes including me mourn for the loss of a true hero. The problem with us all is we dont have the ability to analyse situations as they are happening and so we always analyse in retrospective, when all that remains are regrets. So ya kick me for saying this but I think bingu inspite of the method he used is the only visionary leader that malawi has seen post democracy. And dont get it twisted, I am not a p Dpp member but sometimes we need to face the truth.
