Looking at the tourney bracket and once again the ACC gets the shaft (along with SMU, but thats another rant). Fun fact: since 2001, a team from this years ACC has played in the championship game 7 times, winning 6 (Georgia Tech in 2004 was the only loss). In the same time frame, 10 ACC teams have advanced to the final 4. Addendum to the interesting fact: with the departure of Maryland and the arrival of Louisville next season, the number of championships will remain the same since Maryland won in 2002 and Louisville in 2013, but the number of final 4 appearances jumps to 12. Another interesting side note: this year there were 13 championship banners hanging above the courts of ACC games. With the departure of Maryland and arrival of Louisville next season, were trading a team with 1 banner for a team with 3, giving the ACC 15 national championships, tied with the PAC-12 for the most (11 of those coming from UCLA). Long story short, the ACC gets the shaft every year, and we should have had at least 7 teams dancing (and a 6 seed is an insult to UNC).
