Looking at the various books I have on the Noahide Laws, I realize - TopicsExpress

Looking at the various books I have on the Noahide Laws, I realize that there is a lot of common ground in these books but there are some stark differences also. It will probably take Noahide Courts to straighten some of this business out, and even then we are listening to the words of Man (albeit within the framework HaSh-m has set for us). Some of the stuff I am reading from this new book, The Divine Code, I have a real issue with. It may be a lack of understanding on my part... (Its not to say I dont like the book either - actually I do, so far.) Im only a few chapters in, so my issues may end up resolving themselves by the end of the book... One such issue though is concerning Noahides and mezuzot. The Divine Code says Noahides may own a mezuzah but may not have one on their door. I have two issues with this - #1) what about in the case of a Noahide who wishes to convert, and is taking on extra commandments and mitzvot, or wishes to do so to go above and beyond what is commanded (I have read somewhere, I think from RAMBAM, that a requirement for a truly holy Ger Toshav is not to do what is minimally commanded by Noahide Law, but to actually take on some extra mitzvot), and #2) one of the Breslov / Temple Institute rabbis actually has a YouTube video out telling everyone that Noahides actually SHOULD have mezuzot and discusses how it should not be affixed in the same way as it is affixed on the door of a Jews house. Any ideas or comments about this? Perhaps this is one of those things that Mashiach will have to sort out when he arrives. :) https://youtube/watch?v=PORSjRjGQwM
