Looking at the weather for tomorrow, I cant help but to realize that I expected nothing less than rain. Tomorrows rain will not be just rain, but a stream of emotion. Drops will fall, filled with a pain that cant be eased. Tomorrows rain will be not just rain drops from mother nature, but tear drops from Gods Angels. Angels whos time came before it was to be.....Over 2700 people will be missed tomorrow. 2700+ families will bow their heads and remember what used to be, their family members bodies are cold but their memories vibrant...The rain drops will pound the pavement with anger over an unnecessary display of a cowardly attack. I will be one to drop down and pray tomorrow, with my brothers across the country. 9-11-01 will forever be a day that is built into the foundation of my passion for firefighting. It was the cause that lit the fire in my heart, and it is the strength that makes my passion indestructible. Please I ask of you, pray for a friend, a brother, a sister, an uncle, a father, a mother, a police officer, or a fireman who asked for nothing more than to serve his city. For those 343 Brothers behind the hose they knew what any given day may bring, and on that September day, they died with their heads held high, doing the job they loved. Because of them, many lives were saved, legends were created, heroes were revealed. Tomorrow, I will remember. Will you? While I will not be able to wear my uniform out of respect, I will make sure that the badge that I had placed on my bike will be wearing the memorial band, as will my uniform in the closet. The fire department memorial tattoo on my shoulder will burn with a brighter light tomorrow. Let us never forget those 2700+ people and 343 Firefighters who gave everything that day. May they Rest in Peace.
