Looking back at old photos of Rally when she first came here and balling my eyes out, this is probably the first time the gravity of the situation has actually hit me - 3 years later... She was dehydrated and had frost bite on her chin and several toes on all four feet, shocked that she did not lose those toes. You can see how caved in her belly is in one of the pics. I just cant believe we came through this. She almost died on me at least 3 times, I didnt sleep for 5 straight days because I didnt want her to pass alone if that be the case. My friend Penny came over to see her one day and it was a fairly warm day. Being the eternal optimist that she is (lol), she suggested I dig a hole while I could before the ground froze again. Rally is wonky and weird, and delightful, I adore her.
