Looking back in our own department we have only lost a few employees since Recruit School 11-01, a retirement, 1 off to Fairfax County and 1 by mutual agreement (PC term); that is quite an accomplishment for a relatively small combination department on the fringe of Northern Virginia. We put a lot of emphasis on selecting the best people who can not only do their job well but are a good fit too. Anyone can do CPR, we need folks that can do PR- everyday. Strong Candidates + Great Recruit School = Great Employees The challenge is keeping them, we have made great strides in scheduling, compensation, retirement and other benefits to ensure we remain competitive in our local market- we must keep working to ensure we stay that way. To the Men and Women that put on our uniform each day- Thank you for coming to Fauquier, and more importantly... thank you for staying.
