Looking back on the week, it was these words that struck me most and have remained in my reflections. We live in an era of unprecedented connectedness. The world has never before been in such a state. Information crackles between us at the speed of electric impulses in our nervous systems. In fact, we are experiencing ourselves all together as a single body--not as isolated individual bodies crawling around on a planet. A shooting over here and a war over there instantly pains us all at some level. This means that we are collectively bombarded with impulses. You and I as individuals have a fascinating responsibility to bring healing and pleasure back to the whole. I do the world no good by obsessing about the pain and weakening myself. My responsibility is to live in joy and radiate the pleasure of wholeness. A single cell in the body doesnt cure disease by taking on the symptoms of other infected cells. I hold a place of peace as my greatest service in this world knowing that I have a choice to spread either health or illness. We are all connected. Together we can heal.
