Looking back to past events, it now reflects that probably the disputes and disagreements that rose due to elections, apparently were made to look more as the pretext for what was to follow in its aftermath. Because the events which unfolded many years before pertaining to Sheikh Mujibs activities and ideological thinking certainly give credence, to a perception that he was successful in his planned aim to give birth to a new nation carved out of Pakistan. This had been confirmed by his own daughter H.E.Mrs.Hasina Wajid, presently PM of Bangladesh . Frankly, I am of the firm belief now that the acceptance of the election results wouldnt have even stopped what ultimately was destined to happen. If not the elections then the 6 point demand etc would have been made a pretext for things to develop as they sadly and unfortunately eventually did take place. The planned conspiracy of the Awami league with the Indians would have been implemented, on-the -less! The fact is that the Bengalis seceded only because they are racists, all the ranting about inequalities do not provide just cause for secession because they had already started getting duly redressed and resolved by the Pakistani state and Bengali did have official status in united Pakistan. If the Bengalis are going to flat out deny recorded facts even after seeing them, then that is their own problem. History is full of ethnic frame of mind leaders who have led as pied piper their nation to worst conditions then the lesser ones. This if wisdom is employed could have been dealt to a much better future for all concerned.
