Looking for SAP Mobility Architect/Developer Location: Pittsburgh Duration: 3 months plus extendable The primary role of the SAP Mobility Lead Architect is to define innovative, SAP-based business solutions that will enable our clients to define and realize the business benefits available from their SAP solution, while helping them to manage the risk of business transition and the cost of implementation. To perform this role, our SAP Mobility Architects require a balance of strong SAP functional and technical skills, combined with the balanced judgment and broad perspective that are based on deep experience. They also possess a deep knowledge of a business process area, and how SAP technical solutions can be used to support business operations and realize business benefits in that process area across a number of market sectors. The Mobility Architect requires a balance of technical skills in various SAP Mobility Platform 3.0 (SMP) technologies specifically relating to Agentry application development and Agentry integration with SAP – which entails ABAP java, and Eclipse based Agentry development skills. The SAP Mobility Architect will be responsible for working independently within a team and project environment, reporting to a Project Manager, and producing high quality work according to the project schedule. He or she must communicate regularly the status and estimated completion times of assigned units of work. The candidate must consistently produce development work and documentation of the highest quality. Implementation of Mobility Solutions – As the key and primary member of the implementation team on a mobility project, the SAP Mobility Architect is the key role in the design, development, and execution of mobile solutions for clients – this involves: o Having the technical background and knowledge of the integration of SMP (SAP Mobile Platform) of the Agentry product line for the design and of a solution and technical skills in Application development, java, and ABAP integration o Having technical understanding of Agentry based application development and enhancements to multiple SAP Mobility products (Work Manager, Inventory Manager, Service Manager, Rounds Manager, Sales Manager). o Leading and conducting the design process with the client and the key development team member to prepare a functional design. Therefore developed client interaction skills are necessary o Being the main day-to-day contact for a client throughout the duration of a project o Guiding and mentoring the development team by providing technical oversight – which includes creating technical designs for the development to occur o Developing the mobile solution as part of the development team by utilizing the ABAP, java, and Agentry application skills o Participating in planning the development teams roles and work assignments o Participating in platform architecture and infrastructure meetings and decisions with the client o Monitoring the development resources and managing those resources to the given budget (both hours and calendar budget) o Participating in other key phases of the project as appropriate (e.g. Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Training, Cutover, and Go-Live) o Acting as SAP Solution Team Leads on our engagements. Typically multiple engagements simultaneously. o Following the development of criteria for evaluation, and the evaluation and selection of options against these criteria to develop an optimum SAP-based business solution that: Defines the usage of SAP components/functionality and complementary solutions/products Meets the client’s requirements for business transaction processing, internal control and management reporting, and statutory/regulatory compliance Delivers the required business benefits Outlines the degree and nature of process and organizational change required to operate the proposed solution o Being able to work on multiple clients and projects simultaneously – therefore well-honed time management skills are necessary. Required Skills: - Minimum of 5 years SAP ABAP Development experience - Minimum of 3 years SAP (Syclo) Work Manager, Inventory Manager, Service Manager, and/or Rounds - Experience with SAP Mobile Platform 3.0 - Proficient with SAP ABAP Object Oriented Programming - Proficient with Syclo Agentry Development - Proficient with java development for Agentry middleware - Solid Experience with RFCs, SMOD/CMOD, BADIs, Enhancement Framework/Spots - Good communication skills - Experience in suggesting solutions and alternatives to meet business needs. Desired Skills: - Development and knowledge with the SAP PM/MM/IM/SM modules - Certification for Agentry based applications
