Looking for a permaculture buff for our West Oakland Farm house. Open Feb 15th Bright and sunny south facing room $500 a month + utilities Searching out someone passionate about urban homesteading and can make a commitment. We live 4 blocks from the West Oakland Bart station. We have 4 lots full of fruit trees, garden beds, and flowers. We also have chickens, A Rabbit, a pond and 2 beehives. Responsibilities would take about an hour or 2 a day split between housemates. The house is also very clean and communal. We share meals whenever we can. Kitchen and bathrooms must be clean. We have garden work partys once a season and try to work on big projects together. We are 3 ladies in our late 20s/early 30s. Fashion designer, Jewelry designer and freelancer. We share space with 1 dog and 1 cat (mostly outdoors), both are very friendly and help keep the house and animals safe. You will fall in love with them right away. Ideal roommate would also have a dog that would help keep the house safe and be a companion to our other dog. House has hardwood floors through out, 2 bathrooms one with a claw foot tub, bright sunny windows, roof deck for sun bathing or watching epic sunsets, huge trampoline, guest room, wifi, gas stove and lots of well seasoned cast iron pans. We eat mostly Organic and have a general rule that if you eat food that some one else bought just replace it. House is 4:20 friendly and we tend to have guests stay from out of town. House also comes with a huge collection of records you are welcome to play so long as you take care. We dont have a TV but watch movies on a computer some times. We sometimes stay up late and party but are not interested in folks who drink 40s every day. Send me a private message if you interested and want to come see the room.
