Looking for signs or omens is probably stupid. One reason I went to Africa in 2004 was because right after I was asked to go, I saw a corn flake in the perfect shape of Africa. Then to seal my fate Sherry and I got a brochure from where we were slated to stay in Uganda and the name of our building was called Martys House. I thought okay, this is fate. We got there and it turns out it was a typo in the brochure. The building was actually called Martyrs House not Martys house. And there was a huge story attached to the name that explained how a hundred Catholic priests were martyred in Kampala! I wouldnt trade the trip now! I learned a lot more than had I gone to a more comfortable place. But Im not sure about signs and omens. Corn flakes come in lots of shapes.
