Looking for some feedback. Ive been sitting on this one a while debating whether to handle it or trust that Shei has. (Which she assures me she has.) *sigh* WARNING for those out there that dont have teenagers yet. IT SUCKS! (but...its so neat to see them becoming these amazingly awesome people at the same time.) Ill give some background though some of you may know it already. Sheilynn is a Varsity Cheerleader. Shes a social butterfly. (No clue where she gets it. ;) ) Shes beautiful, talented, a great student, well behaved, *cough* developing *cough*....and at that age where boys become interesting. *YIKES* She went to Homecoming solo with friends...had a great time. One of her friends was making out ...(do they still call it that?) with a Senior on the Varsity Football Team at the dance. The following week at school that boy called Sheilynn over in the hall at school. Sort of a ....Hey girl, come here and let me holla at you type of thing. Shes a cheerleader, hes on the team, hes her friends friend so she went over there like anyone being nice would. He said, Can I get a hug? Being nice, she hugs him ....and he leans in and kisses her. Of course shes surprised, and immediately goes and tells her friend. All of this comes to my attention because the friend gets upset....which...without knowing the circumstances, makes sense. Knowing hes a Senior, Im immediately upset because Shei was 14 at the time but just turned 15, the friend is only 13 and this boy...IS NOT A BOY...hes 18 and 1/2. I talked to Shei at length and she assures me she will make sure it doesnt happen again but doesnt think I need to take action. She has informed him that he just cant go around doing that, and has made it clear that hes asking for trouble. So....with all that information....Call the principal and resource officer and officially deal with this or .....let it ride?
