Looking for someone to help me in the mornings and perhaps some weekends with my 16.3 TBx mare. Were based at Godlingston in Swanage, but due to my early working hours, and the fact i do not drive, it has been a struggle to bring her in and keep her of the rich grass and exercise her, which has pushed me to the decision to offer a share. Shes obviously a big girl, and an ex-eventer, so can be very opinionated at times! She has been known to ne nappy on the roads, and is not a horse you can jump on after a week or two or not being worked and expect a chilled ride! But once shes back in work and gotten to know you shes a big dope, and will try her hardest for you in every way. She lunges beautifully, and picks things up super fast! Shes a complete school mistress (with BD Points may i add ;)) and a dream to ride once shes in a routine. She prefers to be ridden from behind, and is very soft in the mouth, you literally have to look the direction you wish her to move and she reads your mind! :D Shes currently out of work due to footyness (shes barefoot and is slightly laminitus prone), but this has been spotted and has being sorted now so hopefully its nipped in the bud. As shes not been worked for a couple of months she will need bringing back into work, but once shes sound Im happy with the canditate to ride her as much as they like, and perhaps compete, for a small contribution towards yard rent/hoof trimming/feed bills. But of course i wouldnt expect this until my girl is happy and sound and a routine established with us all. The person were ideally looking for would be a confident and very experienced rider/horse person, as Smoke is not a novice ride. This person will also be compassionate and able to ask my girl, and not tell her what to do, as she works best this way! As mentioned above, Smoke needs bringing back into work, so need somebody patient and willing to help me with this. Sorry about the long post, i just want to be honest about our current situation, as its hard to admit that i do need help, but i want whats best for my girl :) xxx
