Looking for the sure thing Its been done before, sorry. Its never been done before, too risky. Its too obvious. Its too obscure. Its too easy, everyone can do it. Its too hard to launch, itll never work. Too indy, why cant you get backers? Too mainstream, the man has polluted you, you sold out. Its never been practiced, youll do it wrong. Youve practiced it too much, it cant possibly be fresh. Not here, this city/market/audience is too jaded. Not here, this city/market/audience is untested. The market has peaked, nothing goes up forever. The market is dead, itll never catch on... Most bestsellers are surprise bestsellers, because theres no sure thing, at least not where we want to look for it.. Seth Godin
