Looking for this book today in the piles, to settle [perhaps] the question of the role of dismemberment and murder in [ecstatic] ritual as James Bradwell suggested, to cull some relevant passages, and then to give the book to Danny Robo. [Have to unload these books; first choices go to Jaime Ruggiero and Luis Alejandro Leighton, then mailing the remainder to Nicholas Cash Grodskys new haunts at Drexel.] Eliade was purportedly heavily influenced by Nietzche while composing this work, but I dont remember that influence being so apparent.
