Looking for views on fitting paper filters to 2.25 engines. I test fitted one to my wifes 2.25 diesel and in all honesty I find the noise horrible and not in keeping with the normally quiet/refined nature of the engine. Considering that this engine in my wifes 109 only does 0-60 in 20 seconds and just about makes 70mph on the flat I find the noise a bit silly as the truck is trying to sound like something it isnt. I cant detect any improvement in performance over using the oil bath either. However Id value you thoughts and experiences? I also find it gives me a headache when driving due to the resonance.
