Looking forward to January. No, not the NFL playoffs and Super Bowl. One of my favorite, if not number one favorite television show, Justified, begins its sixth and final season. I have read all of the books that Elmore Leonard wrote, seen all the movies that he wrote, and outlaw maverick US Marshal Raylan Givens has to be one of the best characters of all of them. I was bummed out when the Great Elmore passed away about a year ago. None of us live forever, but I wish he could have, and wish he could have written more Raylan books, as well as a few of those Road Dog books too. I think Mister Leonard was the last great story teller of our age. Now I am bummed out to realize that this season will be the final episodes of Justified. Will Raylan finally nail to the cross his Fire in the Hole old friend and nemesis Boyd Crowder? Can Raylan finally find peace and happiness, reunited with Wynonna and their baby, maybe down in Florida? Oh the gators be snappin down there. No peace. Best he stay in Harlan County, Kentucky. Now we have Sam Elliott and Garret Dillahunt joining the Justified cast of tarnished souls and bad hombres. Looks promising for a great final season. Justified and Breaking Bad are the two best series I have seen. Writing and characters are unforgettably great. I am sad that the Great Elmore is not here to enjoy it with us. Yet somehow, perhaps, hes watching from on high, smiling at Timothy Olyphant as he shows us all Raylan Givens at his dead level kicking butt best. variety/2014/tv/news/justified-sam-elliott-garret-dillahunt-1201309425/
