Looking forward to October the fourth this year. It will be my seriously ancient pal Rupert DCruzs birthday. And of course the birthday of Gregg Hurwitzs hero, Tim Rackley. Plus, well, it will be a sad day of commemoration for the friends and family of those who died in the El Al 1862 plane crash in 1992. And it will be my friend Sam Aichels sisters birthday. And of course, for those who think that 10 04 is the fourth of October rather than the tenth of April (Sams birthday rather than his sisters), its lightning hitting the Clock Tower time. And the fourth of October in John Grishams Sycamore Row, well, it will be the date of Mrs Nora Bainess Big Concert For The Dearly Departed Seth Hubbard - Be There Or Be Squared. And, well, if you dont get tickets in time to see him at Largo in L.A. on October 5th this year, Justin Currie will be performing at McCabes Guitar Shop in Santa Monica on the evening of Saturday the fourth of October - right after the Enchantment Under The Sea dance where Marty gets his parents to kiss and fall in love. Plus, for fans of the author of the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys stories, it will be the anniversary of his birth in 1862. But its got nothing to do with Arch Stanton, who died on the 3rd of February in 1862, 114 years before the birth of Isla Lang Fisher. Funny. She shares a birthday with my fathers mother; and her husband shares a birthday with my fathers daughter. Some kind of Symmetrical Matrix, Burning Bright - and no mistake....
