Looking forward to a day of hospital tomorrow. Ive written my progress on a spreadsheet attached incase doctor asks. Need to fill in todays distance which is 4.8km and 32 meters incline. For those that dont know, heart health is measured by responsiveness. When u stop ur exercise and rest, ur heart rate should drop 20 beats in first minute. Any less than 12 and you have a problem. I drop 20 when I stop but it takes an hour of lying down to get it back to my current resting rate. (83) This is because of muscle damage. If your very fit, u should go back to ur bottom resting rate in minutes. If you are running and drop to a walk it should happily drop 50 quickly. Its important to warm ur heart down and up. Even stretches after and before makes a difference to a damaged heart like mine. If you want a healthy heart its important to get some body muscle. Just low weights and high reps as muscles help squeeze blood around the body and decrease the hearts workload. I have to get some muscle back but I cant stress the heart much, its important to not hold ur breath when lifting weights, I often did it without knowing but now I do my best to make sure I dont. I thought I would make my check ins more interesting
