Looking forward to hearing about the Downtown Holliston Development meeting last night. I have yet to be able to go to a discussion as many of my nights are committed to my business, so I watch the articles. I love the idea of creating a green median in the center of the road on Washington street after Hollis to the Town Hall. Creating the real or perceived idea that one has to more carefully navigate that section of road because it is narrower would slow traffic to a safer speed. That section of road is SO wide that drivers see the straight shot through the center and care is often lost in regards to the 3 or 4 approaching crosswalks. (this is my opinion) The other reason I like the idea is that it would be pretty- the road is cavernous through there. Downtown Holliston is cozy. A green median would accentuate that...and the possibilities for flowers! I am also a supporter of traffic lights. The dance that is required to get them synced is not impossible. Thats what engineers do.
