Looking further into the same verse we see there is much more to be seen. The verse I am speaking of is Hebrews 1:12. Hebrews 1 12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. As I pointed out yesterday this is a portion of a quote from Psalms 102: 25 Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands. 26 They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: 27 But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end. The word years in verse 27 of this Psalm is the Hebrew word shanah (to fold as in duplicate, repeat or revert; - and as a year, a revolution of time; age) we discussed yesterday. The word translated as end is tamam meaning to cease. This brings us back to a different type of word used in the quoting in Hebrews 1:12. It will also shed a little light on the great question and the account I gave of my day, (month and year) sitting reading in the hour of the eclipse. The day I started seeing things differently. The Greek word ekleipo (meaning be absent), translated as fail in Hebrews and used as representation of the Hebrew word tamam. The word is only used three times and this time it is written as ekleipsousi. It is the word eclipse. The two other times the word is used (more in its standard form) are in warning and the Lord foretelling of times of falling away and denial; falling away to worship mammon and denying during persecution. It is fail in Luke 16:9. Luke 16 8 And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light. 9 And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. 10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. 11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? It is fail in Luke 22:32, and the word convert is literally - revert. Luke 22 31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. 33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death. 34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me. You can read more about the hour, day, month and year, and the eclipse and reading the book. Revelation 6 - 12 (These are some of the things I saw differently as the old life was being eclipsed by the rebirth) Thus says the LORD: Psalms 16 1 Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust. 2 O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee; 3 But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight. 4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips. 5 The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. 6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage. 7 I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. 8 I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. 9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. 10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
