Looking through the window..."Coincidence or HIS will?" Kamalakiran was plying in Srirangam the place to go to for Sri Vaishnava pilgrims. My brother Subhash, My chithi Uma Sampath, Manu , the one driving us to , Kamalakiran and his great grand uncle and my self were going . It was nearly 6 hours from Chennai to Srirangam, It was an enjoyable ride even though MANU HAD TO BE REMINDED CONSTANTLY TO GO SLOW. We wanted to go to Sri Ranganadha perumal temple and then to kacheri. We called a friend of ours a great Violinist and a "A"grade senior artist All India Radio and Doordarhan T.V." Ramanuja chari garu and invited him to come to the venue to listen to the kacheri. He was happy to invite us to his home for lunch. We told him we will come to his home after darshan. The Q appeared to be a mile long just to buy the tickets. Dharma darshan seemed impossible .Umachithi had all the spirit in the world to stand in the line. After standing for over Half an hour or so I gave up. slowly one after the other began to move out of the line. Uma chithi gave up after an hour or so. Kamalakiran was the only one still in line. It was over one hour. Remember .This is just to get the tickets. we heard the darshan will take around 3 hours . The line was that long. Kacheri stars aroun 6 P.M. Kamalakiran should be there at least half an hour prior to the kacheri time...More in my next
